The Ptolemy project studies modeling, simulation, and design of concurrent, real-time, embedded systems. The focus is on assembly of concurrent components. The key underlying principle in the project is the use of well-defined models of computation that govern the interaction between components. A major problem area being addressed is the use of heterogeneous mixtures of models of computation. A software system called Ptolemy II is being constructed in Java. Ptolemy II differs from other commonly used graphical block-diagram languages in that they typically support only one model of computation. In addition, Ptolemy II is a more open architecture in that its infrastructure is open source, and the interfaces to the core mechanisms in the software are published and documented. The Ptolemy project has been under development in Java since 1997. The work is conducted in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences of the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, full-time members of the project include 1 director, 3 system/sw managers, 5 postdoctoral/visiting scholars, 11 grad students, 2 visitors, 2 undergrad students (details at http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/people/main.htm ). Our contributors include people from industry, universities, research institutions and other public projects (details at http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/archive/links.htm ). We have a long collaboration with the Kepler project ( http://www.kepler-project.org ), an open-source scientific workflow system that uses Ptolemy as its core.

The project will deliver a deployable site that will allow users to log in, note the books they have (and are willing to trade) and the books they want to trade them for. The system will feature a batch-driven search process that will create Trade Routes. These Trade Routes will start connect two or more users in a series of trades that will result in each person in the process sending and receiving one book. Once all users in the Trade Route agree to the trade, the exchanges can happen. There is also a component for notification via email, RSS, and on the website itself.

ANTARES 1.0 1.) is a program to coordinate transormacion created by JAVIER BARAJAS CAMILO JIMENEZ in second half of 2007 for the subject ASTRONOMY, GEODESY AND SURVEYING INGENIERA the Universidad Distrital "Francisco José de Caldas", this program graphically shows the transformation from celestial coordinates ASTRONOMY between systems of horizontal, equatorial, equatorial absolute elliptical and Galatians. 2.) The program's goal is to become an academic tool for understanding the conversions between coordinate systems, using the graph of a field that allows for understanding, which locates a point in space as a center of the system, the observer, indicating the coordinates of point in different celestial coordinate systems. 3.) This developed with OPEN GL Graphics using GLUT (OpenGL Utility Toolkit) made by Mark Kilgard, currently the code base was developed in C++ using the IDE Dev-C++ using libraries like windows.h (In Review) and other basic as stdlib.h, stdio.h, math.h. 4.) The intention of releasing the application ANTARES 1.0 is collective knowledge creation based on GPL, to create a platform for future exchange and improvement in the processes of ASTRONOMY and of course in search of a better transfer knowledge in development of earth sciences.
